Unimom Minuet LCD Review

Howdy avid readers of my blog! Anyone?) haha. Anyway, I am here again for another breastfeeding-related blogpost to share you guys another breastpump I've been wanting to try since I saw it on my instagram feeds. I just find it very attractive.  Before I go on, I must first say that I have been spoilt by my  portable  pump, the Cimilre F1. It works amazing for me but unfortunately, it broke down after serving me well for a good 10 months. Thank god I still have my hospital grade pump with me.

So as I am nearing my 2-year-arduous-but-strangely-fulfilling breastfeeding journey, I want to buy another portable pump to motivate myself to continue even more. So after much research and reading reviews online mostly reviews from mommies abroad, I ended up buying the Unimom Minuet LCD. The brand is infact not new here in the Philippines. Unimom breastpumps specifically the Unimom Forte and Allegro were among the first breastpumps to be introduced here by LiquidgoldPH in the Philippines along with the Spectra brand by Babymama at a time when expressing milk and breastfeeding isn't popular as it is today.

I was tempted to buy it from breastpumpPH because of the promotional price of P5,350.00 and it came with silicone breastpump (similar to Haakaa's) and premium breastmilk bags as freebies. Coupled with the cheap deal and the hype over the Korean brand Spectra and Cimilre,  I finally gave the Unimom a shot because it's a korean brand and the pump itself looks so adorable. And boy, they are right about this pump! The pump is spot on. It can perform just as well as my Cimilre F1.  Not only did it do its job, it expressed milk so well I was surprised because the for the price it's a steal.

The Unimom  is lightweight, and the suction is soothing and not overly intrusive. I can pump 8 oz milk in just 8-10 minutes! It actually gets the milk flowing like a baby is latching on you. The letdown feature that is the massage mode mimics a babies suction PERFECTLY! It is also a closed system, and the battery lasts ages too and while it is silent, the suction can go as high as the highest suction level of my good old Spectra S1+. The price of the Unimom Minuet LCD is fantastic for a portable breastpump that offers so much features and oh! it actually comes with a USB cable so you can charge the pump thru USB ports, this comes very handy when I'm driving to work and need to charge my pump. It can be charged also when connected to a powerbank.

Compared to the Cimilre F1, this pump performs just as well and I really love the fact that the Unimom Minuet LCD comes with bottle stands so you don't accidentally spill your milk (this is very very useful! ) and it also comes with free silicone massagers which you can attach to your flange. The F1 does not come with these spare parts. And the parts are very easy to wash and reasonably priced!
