I lost my DSL connection last week so I borrowed my father's Globe tattoo sonic  which Globe has recently launched along with tattoo 4G flash. In hopes of achieving the promised  speed of of 7.2 Mbps (DL) when connected to the HSPA+ network, I tried this one for 5 consecutive days using the free 120 surfing hours. The first couple of days of using this, I typically achieve an average speed of 36kb.  The connection was soooooo slow and extremely unreliable. I tried different settings to get it to work, to no avail it was a total crap that I had to throw it away. Globe shouldn't market and sell this broadband in areas where they know it won't work. It's absolutely atrocious.  So frustrating.  I have nothing positive to say about Tattoo Sonic. :( Globe if you are reading this, I am truly disappointed with the Tattoo Sonic :( Just a waste of money and time.

Mobile Aficionados have reason to celebrate as Blackberry recently launched the  BlackBerry Bold 9900 and the BlackBerry Bold Touch 9930. Up until now, the gorgeous Blackberry phones rewrites the the smartphone rule book. Looks like the folks at Blackberry never seem to rest.

With a new sleek look , these two phones surely going to rock your days. The engineering and features may be topnotch but what will drive this phone to success is the Blackberry's tried and tested software, in this case the latest Blackberry 7 OS!Extra processing power means you can flick through your phones various applications at lightening speed.

In few days time I'd be replacing my worn out laptop with a new one. This time it's going to be a Toshiba Satellite lappie. The name may sound mouthful but it  is what I've always wanted.The price of Toshiba laptops has always been prohibitively expensive for a middle-class girl like me :D.  But thanks to my mom for funding this dream come true.. I love the Toshiba Satellite laptop series because  there's a lot of grunt built into this range of laptops. Fully functional, easy to use and superb. All-in-all, I believe, it oozes  confidence; stylish and smart. I hope it will not fall short of my expectations. I'd be posting pictures of this well-thought out piece of hardware soon, when it arrives :)

Got the LBC package today., One word can best describe it - SUPERB! -

Rather than targeting the upscale "sosyal" market  by taking a standard phone, the likes of the blackberry, I chose Nokia C3 to be my new phone. Well, not liking the blackberry is not heresy at all, that saves me for now. The Nokia C3 is a sweet phone, it did not fall short of my expectations.For me, it surpassed the blackberry curve. In terms of build, it trumps the Nokia C7. It feels solid .Feature-wise and cost-wise, Nokia threw everything in their aresnal into the C3. It's a phone truly optimized for social networking. Its Wifi capability represents an exciting new chapter in mobile media. It finds itself with an elegantly discrete look and feel to go along with its robust build quality.What I like most about the phone is it supports the Ovi  Family of Nokia Internet Services, maps and media sharing. Apart from that, I can go online everywhere with or without the WIFI using some Globe internet tricks. Everthing is free with the GPRS.!

Coming late to the race, the Nova, Magnum HD and Superion are all set to slug it out against the likes of Apple, BlackBerry, Nokia and Samsung in the battle for smartphone supremacy. The phones are released just after their predecessor, the Eclipse. They’re not definitely letting up for they run on Andriod OS, and the first in Cherry Mobile to run on Qualcomm processors with the Magnum HD boasting a 1 GHz processor. Hopefully, you’ve all heard of the the Eee Pad and the Eee tablet by Asus, a nametag one can’t take lightly. Just after the Apple folks have released their iPad, many computer companies made their own too. Asus recently unveiled their mimicked tablets before the media at Computex Taipei, the largest ICT exhibition in Asia. Like the iPad, the Eee Pad and Eee tablet boasts multimedia features that would pull users in. Loaded with lots of immersive application, these two strikes much the same effect as the Ipad. But what gives Eee Pad an edge from Apple’s is that it is equipped with a powerful Intel Intel Core 2 Duo  CULV processor andNVIDIA Tegra Graphics chip; it actually runs on Windows operating systems. The Eee Pad comes with a 12-inch screen and weighs about 675-grams.On the other hand, the Eee tablet is more of an e-reader, a hybrid of  notepad, e-reader and media player.I wouldn’t say the two outshines the iPad but in some other respect it does. Asus indeed does a marvelous job!
