One of my bad memories from childhood perhaps, the worst, was that I was bullied. That's one memory that really stick out in my mind. Violence against children by their peers or classmates has received little attention here in the Philippines, possibly due to the perception that bullying and fighting among children is part of a child's growing up. Sure you heard you parents say "away bata lang yan" which has become the common excuse. Yeah, petty fight among kids are just normal but to be bullied was different. The situation is something to be pitied about. A situation which a kid shouldn't go through. It isn't normal or a rite of passage for children. My memory takes me back to the days when going to school was a nightmare. I felt awful about myself. It was not easy to speak up about my situation to my parents thinking that it would make the situation much more worse, I am afraid they might retaliate for doing so. The bullies won't talk to me. As though it was below their dignity to do so. They laugh at me everyday. They did mean things to me. Why was I bullied by the way ?  Because I am boyish, thin, less bright ( I am a late bloomer you know) and the crush of the head bully's  crush ( she envied me for being beautiful, haha). Even my friends turned their backs to save themselves from this tyrannic bullies. I had no idea how to stand up for myself. I suddenly lost interest in going to school. I would make excuses just so I couldn't go to school. It changed my life.  Day by day, I became increasingly walled-off. That's how I became the loner type. No one wants to befriend me. I found my escape through books, the only place I could escape to. By the time I reached highschool, it was hard for me to coax myself out of my shell. It was a dreadful experience. Thank God, slowly, I was able to to build my confidence and improve my fragile self-esteem. My experience explains why I had no close friends. If I could only turn back time. I should have done something about it. 

Waking up to find a  big red pimple on your nose or anywhere right on your face baring itself for all to see is a scary yet funny beauty scenario you wouldn't want to be in. It's everyones worst nightmare. Yesterday, I made this grave mistake of squeezing a blackhead on my left cheek. I know the beauty commandment " thou shall not squeeze your pimples but I couldn't resist myself from squeezing. It feels like that blackhead has been there for months and no matter how I wash and exfoliate it, it wouldn't just go away. It's too disgusting to look at in the mirror. I'm not used to having blackheads. Now I'm still living with the mistake. I have this huge red bump on my face and it seems like it going to explode anytime. Thanks God, it happened on my summer break and right after my OJT, that saves me for now I reckon. I have to keep myself barred at home. What's left for me to do now is help myself get rid of it quickly before my summer escapade :) 

So much for the talk here are the tips I'm talking about :

Tip 1 : Don't ever squeeze, pinch or pick at a pimple. This could worsen the situation.

Tip 2 : Wash your face 2-3 times a day with a specialized acne cleanser. 

Tip 3 : Every 45 minutes, apply an  ice pack ( make sure it's clean ) to the affected are / pimple for about 3 minutes.  This helps ease the inflammation.

Another sluggish and lame afternoon. I was on my laptop while eating some fried sweet potatoes. Just got my FB status updated . Listening to this heart and gut-wrenching song over the radio, I've driven myself and sister nuts with my painful attempts at hitting the high notes. The mere fact that I was able to hit the right note once was like a pinch from the heavens. Brushing that all aside, in the middle of my habitual multi-tasking, I found this application Last Night Never Happened . It's a new app for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch users that promises to erase last night's activity shameful twitter and Facebook posts while you're drunk. This app is a saving grace for those who got carried away and ending up posting embarrassing tweets and posts. I don't find the application useful for me since I don't drink and I don't have an iPhone :D hahaaha. But I would be much happier if it could erase  last night's real time activity. Kiddin. *winks*

This day I realized that I'm getting older. I could still remember my cute little brother bembee when he's about  three years and half, he would run round the house all day long like a dog.  Now, he's a grown up, things have changed but its been really fun watching him grow and develop. There's no more bembee in the crib and babble in baby talk with his thumb in his mouth. I miss the boy I used to cuddle and rock to sleep. Everytime I get home, i would always find him sitting in the sofa watching his favorite cartoons. He has turned into a couch potato. While he's  preoccupied by his cartoon fantasies, I am in my room sleeping. But at the end of the day, you would find him sleeping beside me. He's a bubbly boy, he would ask me questions just about everything that goes through his mind right before he would fall asleep. 

Blame it on mountains of required readings, hours in front of the computer and for hating squash. A poor eyesight now comes way earlier than I have thought. I can't do much about the eye abuse, I guess I'd have to wait until I can afford laser surgery. The choice to be made : contacts or glasses ? I  my mom  chose the latter. I have tried using contacts before to show off my pretty peepers *winks*, I just hate wearing them, I am not used to it. I am only left with one choice : glasses. I find that donning a pair of glasses instantly makes me look more polished and mature. Guess I'll  have to stick with glasses :D

It is time to change my blog's layout. I got bored with the old one. Since yesterday, I've been very busy with my blog's new layout.I've edited some changes with the original pink layout. See ? I'm still learning web design :D Gave it a new pink look. What do you think ? I've almost changed everything from the previous  grey-themed layout. I just realized that it gave my blog a sophisticated look, not too boring and not too crazy but too girlish  :D haha. The pink layout changed the look and feel of my blog :D I hope you like it as much as I do :D

Woah!.. I'm drowning in a pool of numbers.. On-the-job-training is tough, just like in school. I get so tired and (mentally) tortured after work. Accounting is no joke. But what compels me to drive after a 10-hour day of work to  a 30-minute tedious ride, only to to drive straight home after 2 minutes in the grocery store,  is simply the cornetto ice cream :D Looking at the cones, there is little to indicate what might stir such passion. A simple ice cream wrapped in paper. But the real show is inside that cone. Deliciously rich; it's the best of Unilever's  :D


Another thing, my adsense earnings really bothers me. I am not earning well on adsense. I guess I should optimize some keywords for my blog like pinay scandal or pinoy scandal as recommended by macuha to atleast hit more than 100 pageviews a day. :( Gaaaah... I shouldn't.

In few days time I'd be replacing my worn out laptop with a new one. This time it's going to be a Toshiba Satellite lappie. The name may sound mouthful but it  is what I've always wanted.The price of Toshiba laptops has always been prohibitively expensive for a middle-class girl like me :D.  But thanks to my mom for funding this dream come true.. I love the Toshiba Satellite laptop series because  there's a lot of grunt built into this range of laptops. Fully functional, easy to use and superb. All-in-all, I believe, it oozes  confidence; stylish and smart. I hope it will not fall short of my expectations. I'd be posting pictures of this well-thought out piece of hardware soon, when it arrives :)

Got the LBC package today., One word can best describe it - SUPERB! -

When Tugayan Artisan Cosain and his wife decided to settle down together and have a baby .They decided to open a store that would showcase only the crème de la crème of Maranao Antiques and traditional Arts. Their range of products for a groovy home includes  Golden brassware vases, black jars and wooden boats. There also hand-embroidered silk decorations.  The miniature wooden ship in bold colors is really adorable. The perfect buy if space  is tight in your suitcase are the framed Moro Kris which comes in different designs and sizes and are designed to decorate walls and ceilings. I was able to grab some shots , too lazy to upload all of them today.

Rather than targeting the upscale "sosyal" market  by taking a standard phone, the likes of the blackberry, I chose Nokia C3 to be my new phone. Well, not liking the blackberry is not heresy at all, that saves me for now. The Nokia C3 is a sweet phone, it did not fall short of my expectations.For me, it surpassed the blackberry curve. In terms of build, it trumps the Nokia C7. It feels solid .Feature-wise and cost-wise, Nokia threw everything in their aresnal into the C3. It's a phone truly optimized for social networking. Its Wifi capability represents an exciting new chapter in mobile media. It finds itself with an elegantly discrete look and feel to go along with its robust build quality.What I like most about the phone is it supports the Ovi  Family of Nokia Internet Services, maps and media sharing. Apart from that, I can go online everywhere with or without the WIFI using some Globe internet tricks. Everthing is free with the GPRS.!
