I was invited to facebook's new feature! Facebook Email. haha.. Apparently , you can access the page for this at http://www.facebook.com/about/messages/ but you would have to wait for facebook's invitation to activate this feature. I had fun sending emails from my facebook account to my yahoomail account.It's an all-in-one messaging system. However, I want to get rid of the chat archiving feature. :( Facebook's New Messages was announced late last year. As facebook aptly puts it, the new messages interweaves your chats, texts and emails. It’s a central place to control all of your private communication, both on and off Facebook.

Chocolate Madness

Put the jarred stuff to shame with this dutch cocoa

Trumpeting new evidence about chocolate's health benefits, mom bought me some dutch cocoa for my chocolate cravings. I baked some hot fudge yesterday . My chocolate fudge looks as iconic as ice cream itself. A two-for-one treat : it's half cake and half brownies :D -completely foolproof. It's a devilishly rich dessert that made my brother say "wow". It's even more mouthwatering with the choco nut syrup on top. With just a bite, you'll understand why it's called DUTCH cocoa. A tweak to mom's traditional recipe, I added some sprinkles. It's history in the baking.

I'm becoming Older :)

This day I realized that I'm getting older. I could still remember my cute little brother bembee when he's about three years and half, he would run round the house all day long like a dog. Now, he's a grown up, things have changed but its been really fun watching him grow and develop. There's no more bembee in the crib and babble in baby talk with his thumb in his mouth. I miss the boy I used to cuddle and rock to sleep. Everytime I get home, i would always find him sitting in the sofa watching his favorite cartoons. He has turned into a couch potato. While he's preoccupied by his cartoon fantasies, I am in my room sleeping. But at the end of the day, you would find him sleeping beside me. He's a bubbly boy, he would ask me questions just about everything that goes through his mind right before he would fall asleep.

After the finals week, I was already desperate and hopeless for my On-the-Job-Training. I have never sent an application except for HOLCIM and PILMICO. There’s an extremely thin chance of being accepted since we (almost half of the class) are all applying for HOLCIM and PILMICO. Apparently, if you’re referred by an employee it increases your chances of getting accepted. Well, luck does not favor me at all. That’s how I ended up doing my internship at Trinidad. I went there with lenny and I got in.

I started my OJT last March 28. I could still remember the excitement and fear I felt on my first day. My first task was to prepare the financial statements and ITR’s. . My worries were then blown up by the wind as if my heart felt empty with thorn and pains of miseries. It was disastrous that I almost want to trade my OJT for a mindless work such as filing and running errands. I found myself barefooted. Call it paranoia. One thing in mind, I have to back out. But I am not a quitter. A powerful thought came to me , there was this small voice that came whispering to me “ If sahrima and ken can do it, why can’t you?” I was stunned for a minute. Very simple yet very true. That was all what I was waiting for ;motivation from within. After all, this is what OJT is for, to gain a “real word” experience and a better grasp for what’s next after graduation. I could not recall what raced through my mind thereafter but one thing for sure, I can do anything , If I wanted to and If I believed so. I end up the day very proud of having accomplished the tasks at hand. Working 10 hours a day, seven days a week, I was almost close to drowning in a pool of numbers.

Hours and days passed swiftly, I have become adept at preparing FS, ITR’s of individuals and corps, and manning Kyocera :D.All these days, I was happy I was with the company of this not-so- relaxed set of company : lenny, sahrima, ken, Jason and finally kristy coming late. My days with this six GREAT individuals comprise of their constant squabbling, jokes, the most weird conversations, gossips on love teams underway ( jan♥len) and the talk about everything under the sun after lunch. I realized that nothing can compare to the experience you gain from being thrown into the fire and apply the things you learn in class to the real thing.

Tinago Falls- Song of Earth's Abundance

A waterfall serves as a centerpiece to the natural landscape

Health and wellness comes naturally when you visit Tinago falls. My last visit to Tinago was when I was still in grade school. Hopefully, I'd be able to dive in its waters this summer. Merely half an hour drive from the City- a day-end in this paradise is enough to calm the weariest soul, rest the most disturbed heart and relaxed the most stressed and tired body. Nature, in abundance, heals. This is the very message of the place- a symbolism of the abundance of life that serves like milk to the suckling. If you've been to Tinago, you will find peace at nature's heart. Your ears will find harmony on the sounds of water flowing softly, of trees dancing in the wind and of birds wooing each other. Your eyes relax with the waterfalls by day and with the magical sight of a million fireflies if you can still wait till twilight. The combined scent of trees, grasses and herbs serves as a natural aromatherapy that relaxes the sense. You feel the cool wind from the breath of the mountains. You feel love.

I hate Wearing my Glasses

Blame it on mountains of required readings, hours in front of the computer and for hating squash. A poor eyesight now comes way earlier than I have thought. I can't do much about the eye abuse, I guess I'd have to wait until I can afford laser surgery. The choice to be made : contacts or glasses ? I ~~my mom~~ chose the latter. I have tried using contacts before to show off my pretty peepers *winks*, I just hate wearing them, I am not used to it. I am only left with one choice : glasses. I find that donning a pair of glasses instantly makes me look more polished and mature. Guess I'll have to stick with glasses :D

Kudos! New Look:)

It is time to change my blog's layout. I got bored with the old one. Since yesterday, I've been very busy with my blog's new layout.I've edited some changes with the original pink layout. See ? I'm still learning web design :D Gave it a new pink look. What do you think ? I've almost changed everything from the previous grey-themed layout. I just realized that it gave my blog a sophisticated look, not too boring and not too crazy but too girlish :D haha. The pink layout changed the look and feel of my blog :D I hope you like it as much as I do :D

Drowning

Woah!.. I'm drowning in a pool of numbers.. On-the-job-training is tough, just like in school. I get so tired and (mentally) tortured after work. Accounting is no joke. But what compels me to drive after a 10-hour day of work to a 30-minute tedious ride, only to to drive straight home after 2 minutes in the grocery store, is simply the cornetto ice cream :D Looking at the cones, there is little to indicate what might stir such passion. A simple ice cream wrapped in paper. But the real show is inside that cone. Deliciously rich; it's the best of Unilever's :D

Another thing, my adsense earnings really bothers me. I am not earning well on adsense. I guess I should optimize some keywords for my blog like pinay scandal or pinoy scandal as recommended by macuha to atleast hit more than 100 pageviews a day. :( Gaaaah... I shouldn't.

My Dream Toshiba Satellite

In few days time I'd be replacing my worn out laptop with a new one. This time it's going to be a Toshiba Satellite lappie. The name may sound mouthful but it is what I've always wanted.The price of Toshiba laptops has always been prohibitively expensive for a middle-class girl like me :D. But thanks to my mom for funding this dream come true.. I love the Toshiba Satellite laptop series because there's a lot of grunt built into this range of laptops. Fully functional, easy to use and superb. All-in-all, I believe, it oozes confidence; stylish and smart. I hope it will not fall short of my expectations. I'd be posting pictures of this well-thought out piece of hardware soon, when it arrives :)

Calda Pizza

The thin, round pizza of Calda Pizza - arguably Iliganon's most beloved culinary import - is elevated to an art form at this tiny pizzeria. I have never seen a pizza as large as this one in my entire life. Three slices and I'm already stuffed with it. The owner must have been very obsessive for fresh ingredients and the precise assembly ( one blob of creamy mozzarella at a time ) of just about perfect pizzas. Yammy, carousel has been always my fave. Patience is duly rewarded with the first bite. The robust, pepper and cheese-based tomato sauce, crisp-thin crust, olive oil and the mozzarella cheese should conspire to put the words "uhmmm wow!" on your lips.

Antiques anyone ?

When Tugayan Artisan Cosain and his wife decided to settle down together and have a baby .They decided to open a store that would showcase only the crème de la crème of Maranao Antiques and traditional Arts. Their range of products for a groovy home includes Golden brassware vases, black jars and wooden boats. There also hand-embroidered silk decorations. The miniature wooden ship in bold colors is really adorable. The perfect buy if space is tight in your suitcase are the framed Moro Kris which comes in different designs and sizes and are designed to decorate walls and ceilings. I was able to grab some shots , too lazy to upload all of them today.
